Rob Sumrall

Senior Pastor

Rob was raised in Alabama. He has served local churches as a vocational minister for over 20 years. He has served churches in Louisiana, Alabama, and Kentucky. As founding pastor of Crossroads, he hopes to spend the rest of his ministry days serving here. He and his wife Michelle have three children. Rob enjoys reading, cooking, college football, and spending time with his kids. Rob serves Crossroads as its teaching pastor, a LifeGroup leader, and an elder.

Randy Pettus


Randy was born in East St. Louis, IL. He served the Marine Corps for 23 years.  Randy and his wife, Karie, have been married for 20 years , have four children and three grandchildren. Randy currently oversees a call center. He enjoys spending time with his family and riding his Harley. He is a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, that ride as escorts for military funerals, serves as a LifeGroup Leader and elder. He also oversees the First Impression Ministry.

John Piwetz


John was born in Ohio, but was raised all over the country since his father was in the Air Force. He met his wife, Karen, at Auburn University. They now have four daughters. He works at Sun Tan City where he serves as CFO. His hobbies include running, cycling, and spending time with his girls. John serves Crossroads as a LifeGroup Leader and an elder. He also oversees the Finance and Budgeting ministry.

Ronnie Pence


Ronnie was born and raised in Summit, Kentucky. He and his wife Nancy have four children and four grandchildren. He is the founder and president of Kentucky Neighborhood Bank. He enjoys playing golf and following most sports (mainly Kentucky basketball). Ronnie serves Crossroads as an elder and helps oversee the LifeGroup ministry.

Bob Miller


Bob was born and raised in West Virginia. Bob served in the US Navy and then worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He and Doris have been married for 43 years. They have two children and two grandsons. Bob enjoys fishing, wood working, and being Doris’ boyfriend. He serves in multiple capacities at Crossroads, including LifeGroup ministry, as an elder, and overseeing the Facilities Ministry.

Patrick Walsh


Patrick was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Kentucky. He served as a music teacher for several years and now serves as Crossroads’ minister to families. He and Chelsie are blessed with two young daughters. Patrick enjoys hanging out with students and anything fitness related.  He serves Crossroads by overseeing the children and youth ministries, leading a LifeGroup, and as an elder.

Doug Grinnell


Doug prayed to accept Jesus at age 7, kneeling beside the couch in his parent’s Hansen, Massachusetts home. He graduated from Bob Jones University. He and his wife, Mary Jo, have 9 children ranging from ages 19 to 31, and 3 adorable grandchildren. They have lived in Elizabethtown, Ky for 13 years. He is a small business owner and referees volleyball.

Ben Gardner


Ben is a retired Lietenant Colonel having served in the US Army for 22 years. He is married to his best friend, Carol, and they have two children. Ben enjoys family time and outdoor activities such as running and cycling. He  serves within Crossroads on the worship team, mission team, as a Life Group leader and Elder.

Shannon Sullivan

Worship Leader

Shannon was born in Louisville, Kentucky.  She and her husband, Sam, have three children and one grandchild. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys family time and attending sporting events. She has a heart and gift for sharing Jesus through music. She serves as the Worship Leader for Crossroads and supports other ministry efforts.

Darian Parker

Children's Ministry Director

Darian was born and raised in Elizabethtown, Ky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2015 with a degree in community and leadership development. When she is not serving at Crossroads, Darian spends her time coaching girls basketball for T.K. Stone Middle School, crafting, being outdoors, and hanging out with her mom and little sister, Kenedy.
